Meka Kpoh- Executive Director and Founder and Student Midwife

Meka is a full spectrum doula, midwifery student a proud mother and intentional wife. Her passion for perinatal healing is what drove her to found the organization. She had a vision of a collective of birth workers and community advocates working together to bring change. She received her Bachelors of Communication from the University of Louisville and currently attends Southwest Tech. She is currently conducting research on Black, Hispanic and Indigenous maternal health in the US. She believes in a world were Black and brown women and infants don’t die at alarming rates.

Kazia Bryant - Program Manager

Kazia is a full spectrum doula, reproductive justice advocate, and community healer. She is passionate about serving her community and reducing the black and brown maternal death rate. She believes our community deserves postpartum experiences that are not traumatic. Her goal is to care for families during one of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.

Marquel Lett-Chairman of the Board

Marquel is a proud mother of two beautiful children, advocate fundraiser, marketing guru, Owner/CEO of SeQuel Scents and devoted volunteer. In her down time, she participates in local farmers markets, volunteers as an advisor for JR. MANRRS (Minorities in Agriculture and Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences), and spends time with her family and friends. She believes in advocating for maternal health rights and supporting mothers experiencing postpartum.
